I have tried five different ways of generating a community experience and providing daily support for habit formation within the Nutrivore90 challenge, and none of them succeeded. Instead, Nutrivore90 has generated confusion (for example between the Nutrivore90 Substack and the Nutrivore Newsletter Substack, and between Nutrivore90 social media posts and my other general Nutrivore content).</p><p>The idea behind offering a free participation challenge is that the community it builds around Nutrivore increases its visibility, fuels audience growth, and acts as grass-roots marketing, offsetting the investment and ongoing costs of offering such an in-depth resource for free. Because that community has not materialized, Nutrivore90 simply can not continue in this format.</p><p>After much deliberation with my team, we have come to the conclusion that Nutrivore90 is aligned more with curriculum-style deeper education on nutrition compared to the typical &#8220;do a hard thing for X amount of time&#8221; challenge. As a result, Nutrivore90 will be better served&#8212;plus more effective for the participants&#8212;as an online course, rather than a free participation challenge. With the power of hindsight, Nutrivore90 probably should have been an online course from day 1.</p><p>Offering Nutrivore90 as an online course means:</p><ul><li><p>All of the challenge materials can be organized in one place on Nutrivore.com. By making it easier to navigate the PDF downloads, daily videos, weekly journal prompts, action steps, and recommended reading, my expectation is that more people will complete the program.</p></li><li><p>Participants can start whenever is convenient for them, taking away the inhibitory factor of having to wait 3 or 4 months for the next challenge to start for everyone who missed the start date. This also allows for dynamic pacing and adaptation to your schedule.</p></li><li><p>It&#8217;s no longer creating confusion with my other content. There will be clear division between the Nutrivore90 Online Course as a digital resource on Nutrivore.com, the <a href="https://www.nutrivorenewsletter.com/">Nutrivore Newsletter</a> on Substack, the Nutrivore Patreon, and my social media content.</p></li><li><p>I was able to add some cool things to the Nutrivore90!
